Thank you for inquiring about volunteering here at the Wood River Community YMCA! Each year volunteers play a vital role in our mission to “build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.”
We offer opportunities for individuals, families and organizations to volunteer in ways that let you connect and develop meaningful relationships, all while making an impact in the community you live in and care about.
"When you volunteer at the Y you get to work on personal goals as well as volunteering. I got to grow my leadership skills by creating, implementing and overseeing a project in Day Camp. The campers and I created such a strong bond this summer and I can't wait to volunteer again!"

"I just love coming into Child Watch and reading to the children. As a volunteer I get to be a part of someones life and make a difference. It truly is a gift."
