Thank you for inquiring about volunteering here at the Wood River Community YMCA! Each year volunteers play a vital role in our mission to “build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.”

We offer opportunities for individuals, families and organizations to volunteer in ways that let you connect and develop meaningful relationships, all while making an impact in the community you live in and care about.

To Get Started:

1. Complete a volunteer application and return it to the Volunteer Coordinator.
2. Once we receive your application and references, we will move forward with processing your application and you will hear from us within 48 hours to discuss volunteering at the YMCA.
3. The final step will be to connect you with the department you would like to volunteer with so you can talk about the details of the position with them, or even try it out!
