Mission
To empower kids to improve their overall wellness through recreational, cultural, and educational activities.
Objectives

- Help kids realize their strengths and capabilities

- Establish positive role models for kids
- Foster appropriate ideas about sense of place
Evaluation
In order to evaluate the program, certain questions must be addressed.
- Are kids adding to their community?
- What priorities do kids have now? Do those priorities change?
- Do parents notice a difference in behavior or actions?
- Are kids showing greater respect for people, place, and property?
Description
Y-On-Wheels is a national program that brings YMCA programming, mission and values to communities and neighborhoods that do not have access to a YMCA facility or programming.
In Blaine County, Y-On-Wheels is a free after-school partnership with Woodside Elementary School in Hailey. Y-On-Wheels provides activities for kids before and after homework help time. YMCA activities are recreational, educational and cultural for children. The programs are free to children who live in these areas. Families interested in Y-On-Wheels should contact WoodsideElementary for enrollment information.
