Receive one-on-one training with one of our certified personal trainers to help you with a custom fitness regimen. Whether you want to lose weight, train for a race, or just begin some healthy habits, our personal trainers will find the right fit for you. Half Marathon Training Program Under Way!
This is the best way to get yourself across the finish line on June 5th!
  • 14 weeks, starting March 6th
  • Groups trainings will take place on Saturdays at 8:30am
  • Groups will alternate meeting at the YMCA and at WRHS throughout the program
  • Groups are catered to varying running levels
  • Each group will be lead by supportive and reputable coaches
  • Weekly sessions will begin with an educational presentation on running/fitness

    Tai Chi at the YMCA
    World traveling Tai Chi instructor, Michael Rollins, is offering free Tai Chi classes at the YMCA on most Mondays!

    20/20/20 Body Sculpt with Chelsea & Liz
    20 minutes of cardio. 20 minutes of strength training. And, 20 minutes of core and stretching! This class will firm and energize your body! All levels welcome.

    CIRCUIT with Ali, Susan, & Danna
    A complete and satisfying circuit workout that is low impact and targets all major muscle groups. Work at your own pace. All ages, genders, and fitness levels welcome!

    FELDENKRAIS FOR SPORT with John
    A slow movement class designed to help increase sensory awareness and coordination, which compliments your sport performance. Helps with joint mobility, increased range of motion, and strength.

    GENTLE YOGA with Kris & Katherine
    A slow and gentle practice that is great for anyone who wants to stretch and breathe in a calm, supportive environment. For beginners or those who are nurturing injuries

    HATHA & VINYASA FLOW with Karim, Tener, & Lauri
    A guided series of strength, flexibility, and balancing postures with a focus on breathing and alignment. Various levels are offered.

    HOT YOGA with Beverly
    Twenty-six Asana series designed to warm and stretch muscles, ligaments, and tendons. All levels encouraged to attend. Self Guided class is not for beginners.

    PILATES MAT CLASS with Hilarie
    This class targets core muscle groups such as abdominals and glutes, and is great for developing muscle, flexibility, and posture.

    RESTORATIVE YOGA with Olympia, Jenn, and Margie
    Restful postures that both stimulate and relax the body. Poses are fully supported and held for a longer period of time. This class will ultimately restore health and reduce stress. Perfect class for beginners, those returning from injury, and anyone who needs to restore the body after an active weekend.

    TAEKWONDO with Master & Mrs. Peterson
    Taekwondo is a Korean Martial Art that strives to develop the students’ mental and physical skills. Our black belt instructors are certified in the peaceful way of teaching discipline, respect, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit.

    WELLNESS ASSESMENTS
    Every third Wednesday of the month the YMCA is pleased to offer fitness assessments. We’ll help evaluate your heart rate, blood pressure, cardio and strength capabilities to better prepare yourself for a healthy lifestyle. Whether you’re just starting to work fitness into your schedule or you’re training for a marathon—you need to know where you stand. Call the YMCA fitness desk to sign up this month at 208.928.6713. Must register to participate.

    GET FIT STAY FIT
    Have the YMCA fitness staff introduce you to our fitness facility and/or fitness in general. We’ll help you form fitness habits that stick. For anyone just starting to workout or for those looking to revive their existing routine. THIS IS NOT A TRAINING SESSION.     IRON TEEN ORIENTATION
    Teen (and tweens) will learn fitness principles and etiquette that enable them to workout independently in the Y’s fitness center. Available for 11-15 year olds. This orientation helps decrease the liklihood of fitness injuries in children. Orientations are approximately one hour on Saturdays. Sign up at the fitness desk today!
